The PJ Patterson Institute for Africa-Caribbean Advocacy extends our deepest condolences on the passing of Dr. Tomlin Paul, Deputy Principal of The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus.
Dr. Paul was a distinguished and celebrated medical doctor, a brilliant and deeply cerebral scholar, and a highly respected administrator. Throughout his career, he exemplified excellence in service, leadership, compassion, and dependability. His genuine care for others, commitment to the advancement of medical education, and dedication to the development and growth of The UWI community earned him the admiration and respect of colleagues, students, and wider society.

His eloquence, profound knowledge, and sincere care for students were unmistakable, reflecting his unwavering commitment to academic excellence and the development of young minds.
His passing represents a profound loss to The University of the West Indies, the medical profession, and the Caribbean region, which he served with great distinction.
We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his family, colleagues, and the entire University community during this time of grief. May his legacy of service, intellect, and humanity continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
