New Students Orientation 2025

For the second straight year, The PJ Patterson Institute for Africa Caribbean Advocacy participated in the Office of Student Services and Development’s Orientation exercise for new students entering the university at the Orientation Village, University of the West Indies, Mona Campus. The Orientation is designed to engage and sensitize the new students as they explore the many entities on display at the Orientation Village.

The Orientation is always well supported by the general University community, promoting the different entities and their work within the community, including Faculties, Institutes and Centres for learning and research, in addition to the plethora of student societies.

The Institute engaged many of the new students, who showed interest in The Institute and the work being done and are desirous of getting involved through The Africa Caribbean Students Club. The Institute is delighted by the interest shown by new students in the University, who naturally have to take up the mantle of responsibility and leadership over time.

The PJ Patterson Institute for Africa Caribbean Advocacy wishes all new and returning students to the University of the West Indies a successful sojourn as they expand their intellectual development and mature into well-rounded Caribbean citizens, ready to take the region forward.
